What I Want

The weekend is near, and because we can almost wear whatever we want to on our free uniform day, Im eager to tell you what I want to wear this coming Friday. I love skirts and heels, are you feeling them too ladies? Skirts are comfy, feminine and confident, when paired with heels they make you feel sexy and give you a boost on days when you need a lift. Yes I do wear shorts and jeans a lot lately, but there is nothing nicer pulling a skirt and a pair of high heels to make you feel ladylike again.

To make your midi skirt more fun to wear, here are foolproof tips from one my style icon, Ms. Lauren Conrad:

If you’re short – stick to a skirt that hits just above or below the knee. For taller ladies, any length will do so long as it doesn’t go below your ankles

Perfect pairings. If you wear a bold color midi, temper it with a neutral blouse. As for pleated or fuller options, keep the top simple.

Oh no! you have a Dress Twin

I've had this dress in my closet for a month now, hesitating if I’ll wear them or not. I know about two people who own the exact same dress, and I have never worn them because of the possibility that I might have a dress twin for the day. Have (had) the same dilemma ladies?  We’ll let’s hope that this doesn’t happen, but if it does, here’s my advice on what to do if a girl walks in wearing the same dress you have on.

Don’t hate her – you and your dress twin definitely have the same taste, so why hate her? If you have an opportunity, pass a compliment, she undoubtedly has the same amazing taste in fashion.

Take the high road – If someone is rude, kill them with your politeness, reply with a “ yes we both look amazing don’t we?” and smile.

Everybody loves confidence – use the situation positively, meet new friends or use it to start a conversation.

Remember ladies, a dress is just a dress. “What’s important in a dress is the woman wearing it” – Yves Saint Laurent

Do you have the same dress I have on? Happy weekend!
