Weight Watch, losing those extra pounds after the holidays

Belated Kung Hei Fat Choi ladies, now that the holidays are finally finally over, I feel that I went a little overboard with the holiday food the came with it.  Are you guilty too? Too bad there’s no way to uneat what we ate, but we can do some damage control and get back on track.  I know losing weight can be challenging, but I don’t want you to start 2012 feeling less than your best.

Here’s a few tip on how to lose the guilt:

  • Trade Sugary Juice and Soda for Water – Let’s face it H2O cost less than other beverages, right? Juices, soda, cream & sugar in your coffee all add up, so opt for water instead.
  • Share – I have this saying, “share your food share the calorie”. I know this may sound funny, but if I have a craving for sugary snack, I don’t deprive myself, I go for it but I offer half of it to a friend, this means half the calorie, half the guilt.
  • Always take the stairs – this may sound boring but think of it as “workout” without even “working out.”
  • Watch your portions – Again there is nothing wrong with enjoying your favorites, that is if you keep your portions in check. Sometimes just a little taste is all you need.
  • Sip tea at the end of the dayGreen tea has been shown to actually increase metabolic rate, thus helping you to burn calories. My favorite tea for detoxifying  is Kaeng Raeng & Twinning in mango & strawberry.

If I can do it ladies, you can too, we just have to keep our eye on the price, besides who doesn’t want to be super summer ready.

White Eye Shadow

Hi ladies, sorry for the long hiatus. The holiday rush has left me feeble to write, but now that the decors, boxes and all of the Christmas stuff  has been stored and tidied-up and flu/fever gone, I wanted to face a beginning with a look that is fresh as the weather is warm.

Forget the heavy black sooty eyeshadow and blood-red lipstick and trade them for the complete opposite: a hint of fresh white on the eyes and a burst of pink on the lips, lets get summer ready ladies!

Get the look:
  • Start with a flawless base.
  • Apply white eyeliner to your upper and lower lid.
  • Soften by slowly blending white eyeshadow, making sure the white outlines the eyes. Intensify the white on the inner corners of your eyes. This will look as if the eye is catching the light.
  • Finely line the upper lashline with your black eyeliner to define the eyes.
  • Apply a hint of blush on the apples of your cheeks.
  • Curl your eyelashes and apply mascara.
  • Finish the look with a hot pink gloss for a fresh look.
Remember to keep it fresh and clean, nothing too glittery or heavy in texture, and ladies have fun!

 xoxo,
Clyde
